Im off to uni in a bit, and among the list of stuff to buy, is Cartoon DVD's.

As there are NEVER any cartoons on morning terrestrial TV i am importing my own! (i need my cartoons WAAAAHHHH!)

Any recommendations? Stuff i may have forgotten?

Already got Garfield; am eyeing up Looney Tunes and The Adventures of Sonic The Hedgehog :D

Most aren't old cartoons, but they are good cartoons. My life revolves around cartoons so here's just a few that I watch.

    Fairly Odd Parents
    Spongebob
    Codename: Kids Next Door
    Simpsons
    Family Guy
    Futurama
    Aqua Teen Hunger Force
    Oblongs
    Home Movies
    Mission Hill
The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy
    Doug
    All Grown Up
    Ed, Edd and Eddy
    Courage the Cowardly Dog
    Duckman
    Dexter's Labatory
    Scooby Doo
    Ninja Turtles
    Jimmy Neutron
    Rugrats
    Hey Arnold
    Chalk Zone
    Goof Troop
    Recess

Actually, I've learned, most cartoons are a stoners thing. Or at least thats the assumption I've come up with correlating that most non-stoners I know hate most cartoons. Anyways. All depends on your taste and how bored you are.

All classics. Apart from the ones my name mentioned earlier, they just don't make them like they used to. Which is very worrying when you are you still a kid.

ulysses 31 is available on dvd from play.com for £25 for all 3 dvds, shitloads of your favourite 80s greek myths mixed with futuristic styling and 70s funk soundtrack.

this shit is seriously fucking cool, it's the reason why i'm such a badass today, growing up with such a superb cartoon

Dexters Lab has gone all wierd, the animation has changed and the stories are even stranger than they used to be. I still quite like it though.

Cow and Chicken has to be one of the best cartoons ever.

And talking of Super Ted, I saw him live once, he flew over my head and everything. I was SOOOOO excited.

Just had a look on E-bay, all the DVD copies are knocked off VCDs with episodes probably downloaded off the net (or copied from VHS).

It would be nice to own them all on VHS, but they're sooo last decade. :) (and I havn't got anywhere to keep them).

Why isn't there an offical release.:(

You and me are on the same level, those are some class cartoons, dont forget Tail-spin (with baloo the bear), or the transformers, or Danger Mouse I used to have visionaries the toys, and I still have some transformers in thier origional packaging.

The Cities of Gold had the big Golden Condor which was powered by the sun - I thought that was fucking excellent when I was a kid. That and the style of animation made it one of the best cartoons I've ever seen.
The same can be said about Ulysses 31 - full of style and a banging theme tune.

Cartoons like Dangermouse, Count Ducular and Bananaman are still good now because they're full of ironic humour that passed staright over my head when I younger.

...but the robots in disguise will always be the dogs bollocks.

    *Johhny Bravo (soo funny)

    *Dexters Lab (^)

*The Raccoons ( :hyper: i used to love this, if anyone knows where i can find it on DVD PLEASE let me know!)

*Assorted Warner Brothers (Bugs, Daffy, Road Runner, Marvin the Martian)

*Ghostbusters (this was THE kids show, anyone remember Ghost Train on ITV saturday mornings REALLY early 90's)

*The Adventures of Sonic The Hedgehog (well funny :D )

    *Count Duckula

*Danger Mouse (ive got the tshirt already)

*Dick Dastardly in the Flying Machines
