Dont want parents to find out......

Ive been putting it off for a while now (few years), hoping it would get better (stupid me). I got some spots in a delicate place, anyway ive decided to go see the doctor, but thing is i really dont want my parents to find out, if i go to the doctors do they have to inform my parents? I know theres a family planning clinic or gum clinic whatever they call it but i dont know where the nearest one is, also i know this sounds daft but how do i book an appointment at the doctors lol, ive never done it before and i cant ask my parents, as i dont want them to find out, do i phone in or just turn up if so do i need to say over the phone or at the desk whats wrong with me?

Sorry theres a few questions in there, but would really appreciate it if you could answer them.

thanx
BFG

Never fear, wherever your chose to go (GP/GUM) your confidentiality is assured. Of course it would depend on your age, but I am assuming that you are old enough and mature enough to deal with this on your own.

Your medical records are always treated in the strictest confidence. Your doctor may suggest parental involvement in some cases but will ask you first before blabbing to all and sundry.

Go get your spots treated and don't worry about your parents finding out from your GP.

To book an appointment with your GP just ring the surgery during their opening hours and ask for the first available appt. with your doctor.

There is no need to say what is wrong over the phone.

You make an appointment by ringing the doctor, or if you feel embarassed pop into the surgery, and get a spot. Then you go and get treated. And its confidential, so youre fine <IMG alt="image" alt="image" SRC="smile.gif" border="0">

nobody will know except you and your gp, and they deal with asuch things all the time so its no big deal for them, just another appointment ! get going, you'll feel so much better once you've been.
