Anyone here into trance music? If so, what artists/songs do u like?

I am an Astral Projection fan myself.

Oh, and has anyone had any weird experiences (trancelike) just from listening to this kind of music? (without ANY drugs)

UK Trance has gone all a bit pansy, it used to be quite good as long as you didnt take it seriously. I had many a fine night out back in the Mitzi days.

I'm more a fan of Hardcore now.

I know Astral Projection, I remixed a tune of their's when they were on MP3.com

    Goa, Psy Trance is great.

    I also like:

    Infected Mushroom
    Cosmosis
    Dark Soho
    Deviant Species
    Electric Universe
    Wizzy Noise
    Yahel

Do like the acidy stuff. Check out www.isratrance.com - It's an Israeli Trance site but has people from the world over on there.

Prefered alot of the stuff pre-2000. Now there's far too much kiddie trance kicking about: Scouse House, Flip 'n' Fill, Special D etc.

Still a big fan of hard trance though - Yoji Biomehanika, Paul Maddox, Lee Haslam, Phil Reynolds, Andy Farley, BK etc.

Try some Goa or Psy Trance. Is the best Trance about apart from Prog Trance.

If he doesn't think hard trance is fast enough, goa/psy-trance isn't gonna come close

I go for the goa trance, esepecially astral, because it really sounds professional, and i like their rythm. Just listen to Ambient galaxy, and you'll get the idea :)

There's plenty of good new music. Grime/eski/dubstep, ragga/yardcore, UK garage etc.
Hardcore however is shit. The good bits became jungle, then UK garage and grime.

Hard dance. What a shit term. Doesn't it just mean a loose umbrella for acid techno/hardhouse/hardtrance?
There's plenty of hard music I like. Dave Clarke, Surgeon, jungle/drum'n'bass etc. But please lets have a bit of funk and variety. Something that "hard dance" seems to lack (although I have a fondness for mid 90's acid techno).

I ljust love Prog Trance/House. Don't mind a bit of down temp funky type house and some moody deep house.

By the way, Ain't this Nu NRG just Detriot Techno with some HardHouse mixed up in it??

Nu NRG sounds nothing like Detroit techno. Nu NRG and hardhouse are virtually the same thing anway as far as I can tell. And what's so new about Nu NRG? I was buying Nu NRG records in 1995.
