I think I just killed a mosquito.

It had a huge arse spike doo da on it's head for like, sucking things.

It wasn't a wee midgie or owt, but it was a great black thing.

We don't get mosquitos here, do we? :|

If so, I'm worried. Eek.

They are native to this country, we get loads of them down here at all times of the year. Even in the crappy weather we had today (25ºC and heavy rain), I was being attacked by them because I didn't have any insect repellant on:mad:

Yep you do. Though they don't have malaria.

I hate them, and want to give them all the mosquito-equivalent of ebola. But which is safe for us. Hm.

Malaria cases are on the rise in the south of the country, the disease is imported from the tropics, mosquito bites someone, mosquito now has malaria. Because the climate is warmer here there are more mosquitoes and therefore a higher chance to catch malaria. So you can catch malaria from a mosquito bite in this country!

I'm jelous. Mosquitos are more common than fucking... something really common. And they are huge like mutant mosquitos. From the first sign of warm weather in the spring till the first frost, they rule this state. Havn't heard the malaria bit for a while but now everybody is, oh my, west niles shit.
