The other night I stepped on a slug on my patio - with bare feet. :yuck:

I had a freaking slug in my kitchen last week... I was pissed off as i'm pretty fastidious with hygiene in there, and when I nearly step on it after coming in at 3am that certain one was obviuosly an endangered species, as I just poured/sprayed every kitchen chemical i could find onto it (no salt sadly). It spasmed and dissolved into a green blob... even more minging!

    I HATE SLUGS

Snails are much cooler (and arguably more intelligent than slugs i.e. having their own houses and all), and easier to pick up if you don't want them wherever they are
The only downside is they are worse to tread on than slugs... I really hate that crunch/squish sound as you're walking along :( :yuck:

Save them, Make a curry for someone that shows up now & again that you really can't stand, Watch as they eat it, & on that very last mouth, let them know calmly ;)

I interupted a hedgehod eating a slug last night. He wasn't scared in the slightest... Just, plodded off into the bush.

I don't mind slugs, I think it's quite cute when you poke them in the eye and it retracts

I don't like it when they get all that slimey stuff on your hands/clothes/shoes though.

Erm, you do realise slugs have an endoskeleton? How would you explain their extreme crunchiness?

I'm sure a good while on a decent heat should sort that gristle out ;)

    DOH!

Who said anything about gristle?! I said ENDOSKELETON. What do you think it is crunching underfoot when you stand on a slug?
