I've been friends with this guy for years now and hes like a brother to me! We're like really close! Anyway, the other day we were out with our friends when he told me he really liked me...in a love way!I thot he meant in a frendly way,but he said hes liked me for ages now, and he asked me out!I told him i'd think bout it,but then i've got 2 think of what could happen if it ends!Would we stay freind?Or if i tell him no would he,fall out with me! What would u do?

Well this is treading dangerous ground, on the one hand, when u go out it'll probably be really cool and u'll have a load of fun, but nothing like this lasts forever and u're bound to break up someday, the circumstances in which this happens is the decider as to whether u stay friends or not.

If u break up by mutual agreement then everything is, more often than not, absodootly peachy. if its something harsh like being unsatisfied or fancying something else then that pretty well whacks the nail into the coffin lid.

There are exceptions, a mate of mine Matt went out with another mate of mine but he gave her the push soon after because he fancied someone else and so they really hated each other and there was friction for months. But then he called her up one day and they sorted everything out and now they are still friends.

See? it's all according, the question u gotta ask urself is, do u think it would work/last? and do u think u could still be friends if it didn't?

good luck <IMG alt="image" SRC="http://www.thesite.org/ubb/smile.gif">

From past experience, I would say dont do it. Ive been out with a few blokes in the past who I was great mates with and its ruined our friendship after. It was always good when we wre together but as soon as we split things couldnt get back to normal.
That might not be the same for u though, so its your decision, but I no I stay away from dating mates now.
