I have a Yamada 6600 DVD / DivX player but want to get 5.1 speakers for it, does it have to have a dolby decoder thing built itot he speaker system to get the best out of it or can i buy for instace a logitech 5.1 speaker system - as I think logitech speakers sound really good.

The decoder is part of your player, not the speakers. Just buy a set of speakers that match the outputs on your system. EG get 6.1 if your system is 6.1.

I think www.bigpockets.co.uk were doing a good deal on a 5.1 set of speakers. I'm sure they were recently doing a Yamada player and speakers for about £60-70, and the speakers for about £30.
