THe EU today has agreed on a constitution. Is it a good thing, is it the start of a 'federalised' Europe, does it not change anything?

25 states how workable is that especially when the new ones have clapped out post Soviet economies which which will need a cash boost from UK(just like the Club Med states did earlier)
We joined and had a referendum to stay in the common Market, sounds like we need another referendum as whether to exit EU
So let's spare ourselves the "end of our 1,000-year-long sovereignty" fucking bullshit the tabloids and some fools will be spouting today.
spin , you've been spun
What's this I heaer a group forming - 'Labour against a super-state' - wonderful, let's bury Blair along with his EU constitution
Yes, United Kingdom got the right to say No to Continental Empire… ( isn’t this a miracle? How many square inches you still have to say No to anything or anybody?)
To be honest I don’t believe your choice can change anything. If even you say No Eurocrats will achieve their goal in other ways. Through little invisible laws, rules, regulations so on and you’ll get their so called constitution whether you like it or not… they are too smart for you little kids to be discouraged by your veto. They did such tricks million times and they will do it again…
But anyway.
I so want you Brits to say NO.
You have no idea how much your decision will affect people of other countries ( countries you maybe never heard about..)
To be or not to be?
To be a province of a huge Empire or to be …well- small, not influent -but independent country?
The decision you people of the motherland of Capitalism will make might be more important for the World than anything Germans, Finns, Dutches and Spaniards can ever make…
Stop.
Blair has presented this as some sort of victory. Apparently we have retained the right to our own tax policy, defence etc.
"retained"
Interesting word. Suggests that our ability to define these for ourselves was under some sort of threat.
Apparently though, according to McShane (our fellow member) there would still be 20 areas where the UK veto is to be given up. Thats 20 areas where the UK Govt would give up the UK populations "right" to determine something for themselves.
Some victory. We should not hand over any powers to be determined by another nation state.
Roll on the referendum, at least then we will have the "right" to decide for ourselves whether we want this document..
