whatever dungarees may be, never wear anything with one strap. one strap things remind me of icky fat white trash men in overalls and no shirt under with one strap

I wear both straps, but then I'm renowned for being unfashionable!

    UgH!

    Dungarees. How Hairy Mary!

Most of the tanned-bleached-blonde-make-up-caked-on-fake-diamond-earring-wearin-tramps I've seen wear them have the front bit hanging over their crotch..re-hally low as to flash their cracks. It's the new black. :yuck:

Please promise me not to wear a belt and then wear both straps down. It looks so slutty. Mainly cos the only person I've ever seen wearing them this way was indeed a complete slut and now I associate the two.

i haven't seen anyone wearing them but i'd imagine that they're very unflattering.

Well if many of you were to walk into a fashion high street store such as topshop, miss selfridge, USC and republic, you will see that dungarees and dungaree pinfore dresses are out at the moment. So stop living the dark ages because theyre out this summer! Thanks for everyones help-not!

Just because they're in high street "fashion" stores doesn't mean they're fashionable. Take a look at those fucking hideous shirts with white collars and cuffs that made a "come back" a few years ago. I don't think Topman sold any other shirts bar those ones, and the only people that wore them were neds when they tried to get dressed up enough to go clubbing.

Plus, USC sells Rockport and Henri Lloyd. 'Nuff said.

I hate those shirts with a passion. Horridness!! And you can get some alright things in USE. Depends if you pick a good day.

Back, to the dungarees though. A 20 year oldish got on my bus his morning wearing them. Just looked wrong. So unflattering! Each to their own though

    I know

My point was that just 'cause they sell it in a high street fashion store, doesn't necessarily mean it's in fashion or look good.

I have not seen dungarees or dungaree dresses in any shops down here! Thank goodness!
  • Former MemberFormer Member Posts: 1,876,323 The Mix Honorary Guru
I've seen them in topshop, and no....I won't be buying them.

Dungaree's will never look right lets be quite honest unless you're Kate Moss. Most normal people, with normal faces and figures, will end up looking like an extra off the Waltons.

Has fuc* all to do with living in the dark ages, it's just about individual taste and opinion. As in the above comment is merely my opinion. Wouldn't catch me dead in them as i'd look a prize twa* walking into my local in pair of them. Dedicated non-follower of fashion here.
