    It doesn't work like that.

Printing too much money leads to inflation!

at the end of the day if somebody's gonna die from lack of money then whats the problem with printing a bit more? and only using it for dying people

If there were only few that'd be okay from the inflation point of view. But any large printing of money in such conditions would lead to finanical chaos.

Well - if they could do it the people who have been getting extra money and depriving others would just get even more.

At basics it's a nice thought. But the more money you print, the less value it has. Think of it as a pair of an amazing pair of shoes (Jimmy Choo's if you like :p ), now the less there are of them, the more they will cost and be appericiated. Then they start producing more of them (okay, this might not be the case with Choo Shoes), and people get kind of fed up with them as they're not special anymore, and their price will drop so they can get them sold by making them more attractive financially.

Money in itself is worthless, it is production that is important, money simply facilitates trade of goods and services etc.

To stop people starving requires more to be produced or for what is being produced already to be distributed differently.

This is the essance of the debate over different economic sytems,

    a) which produces more

    b) how will what is produced be distributed.

We see from history that capitalism generally leads to more being produced but a less even distribution.

Socialism can be more equitable but generally less efficient thus less is produced.

The world could broadly be characterised as capitalist at the moment, thus enough food is produced but it is distributed in a way such that many have far too much whilst some do not have enough.........
