Pink Printer...

Help...

My Epson Stylus c44 Plus, only prints in pink. I can use the 'use only black ink' option, and that works fine, but when I want a colour print out, it's all different shades of pink.

I've done all the maintenance n shit, but to no avail...

Help! Ilora x

Mine doesn't print in black. My solution is to get a new printer. The heads are probably shot.

If so, it may be under warranty or whatnot.

If you bought it in currys then if you take it back they "should" swap it because Its that type of product if its faulty its exchanged. Thats the policy just watch out for arsehole staff who say that cant or wont swap it.

As Richeh said. If not, then phone Epson's support line, quote the serial number ov ya printer and they send a currier and swap-out the printer. The whole thing takes less than a week.

How about, just trying to fix the problem? If anyone might know how?

    I think that is cool.

For a while I could only print in pink... but that's cos it was the only colour with ink left!

I think pink is under-rated as a printing colour.

Wouldnt you rather have a brand new printer though ??

I'd have thought that was a better solution.

    ~ Edited to say ~

Maybe the colours arent mixing properly, have you tried taking the cartridges out and checking the heads on them maybe they are clogged up i found that on the various printers i have had so far teh printers maintanence hasnt worked on any of em, so dont rely on that.

one of the colour cartridges is running low on ink.

Try replacing them. If that fails, replace the printer.

Whenever I get funny colours it's usually because one of the inks in the colour cartridge has run out, or dried up. Have you tried a new colour cartridge first?
If it's not that, then take it back to the store. Dig out your reciept, or if you can't find it, and paid by card, then a copy of your card/bank statement showing the transaction.
Might be worth checking out their terms and conditions, including warranties, just in case you get an idiot assistant.
