A comedian takes his friend to a comedy club after hours.

On stage, a comedian shouts out "9!" All the comedians in the audience start laughing.

The next one gets on stage and yells out "17!" The audience starts rolling in the aisles.

The newcomer turns to his friend and asks "What's going on?"

"Well," the comedian says, "we've all heard these jokes so many times that we found it easier just to assign them numbers when we tell them to each other."

"Neat!" the man says. "Can I try?"

    "Sure!"

The man goes up on stage, taps the mics, and then says "5."

    Silence.

He steps off stage. His friend looks at him and says "Sorry. You must have told it wrong."

There were 3 daughters and their father driving in the car. the first little girl says "Daddy, how did you get my name?" and he replied" well sweetie, when you were born, a rose pettle fell on your head so that's where we got the name Rose." the second daughter asked the same question. "Daddy where did you get my name from?" the father replied "well when you were born, a lily fell on your head so thats where we got your name, Lily." the third daughter "dfvklsnerihcvxcbasdnmx" and the dad turns around and says  "SHUT UP CINDERBLOCK!"

    i love that joke!

:( the girls got their names from having the "thing" fall on their head. Rose had a rose pettle fall on her head, Lily had a lily(flower) fall on her head and cinderblock had a cinderblock fell on her. that ruined the joke explaining it :( oh well

    :banghead:

The cinderblock joke is funnier a) when told, rather than written, and b) when it's an anvil. :p Anvils have inherent comic value.

either way, 'Breeze Block' is funnier because people know what they are :p

tho Kermit speaks the truth: Anvils have the most comedy value :)

An old woman with altzheimmer(sp?) had invited two friends of hers for tea. So she wouldn't forget, she put a large "MAKE TEA" note on the fridge. So when her friends came, after some chatting she went to the kitchen, saw the note and made tea. She took it to her friends, and after they drank it she took the empty cups back to the kitchen. Then she saw the note again, thought she had forgotten to make tea, and made some more.
After this had happened many times and she and her friends had drank an enormous amount of tea, they noticed it was getting dark so her friends decided to leave. As they were walking away from her house, one of them said to the other: "Claire is a wonderful person otherwise, but all that time we were at her house, she could at least have made us some tea." And the other replies: "Claire... Claire... Gosh, I haven't seen her for years!"
