No. You have said how welcoming you are to foreigner who want to live in your wonderful country, and then go on to complain how there are too many foreigners in London.
So lots of people do bother, and actually try to overcome the "wide cultural differences".
Hello Lukesh
I usually do... Especially with comments like: Why not get a job instead? :eek2:
I haven't the foggiest to be honest.
Link?
You are so off the mark here. I would suggest its mostly a class issue. Deborah Orr is (I would suggest) a typical middle class liberal professional and as such, probably would have more white middle class friends, or the black people she might know would be middle class too. IME, working class people in diverse areas tend to mix a lot more freely.
BTW, Stockwell is not "groovy" (whatever "groovy" means. Its the sort of word my 67 year old dad would use!).
Firstly I would doubt your story, knowing your agenda.
But if its true, I'm not surprised they don't want to socialise with your friend, if she's as racist as you are. They can probably pick up on the fact that your friend feels uncomfortable around them.
If you're narrow minded and unwilling to communicate with people. Most people are sound if you give them a chance, whatever their culture.
And anyway, how many people socialise with ther neighbours anyway?
'Woman who bit columnist during break-in goes free
By Chris Gray
25 June 2002
A habitual burglar who broke into the home of the novelist Will Self and assaulted his wife, Deborah Orr, a columnist for The Independent, walked free from court yesterday.
They could afford to live anywhere, like Hampstead, god knows why they don't.
As for the rest of my post, if you don't believe it's veracity, too bad
How convenient for you.
What has this got to do with anything?
Well given your track record on here of vocally supporting racism and distorting things to suit your own twisted agenda, I find it a little hard to believe, yes.
But if true - why not try and engage with some of my points?
There you go again, assumptions, ... No this friend would not happily accept the label of racist and she's not alone in finding a reluctance amongst ppls from 3rd world to socialise outside of themselves
i wouldn't be welcome in a kurdish/somali /greek cypriot cafe nor would you
Sorry, I think you're lying. It wouldn't be the first time.
LOL! You are so full of shit. You have no idea where I hang out and where I am and am not welcome.
This says more about your prejudices and perceptions than welcoming/non-welcoming communities.
Well isn't that the norm these days with everyone, especially within cities. There's no such thing as society you know. I have lived in areas which were mainly white since adulthood and can't say that people went out of the way to socialise with me. Nothing to do with their race most of the time, just the fact that these days people don't bother.
An accusaton of lying, eh? Serious stuff, give an instance, go on
BlackArab
yes, sometimes it's just personal chemistry or the lack of it
Everything you say.
Some of you, and you have been warned before, are expressing racist opinions. Particularly as they are completely unsubstantiated by fact.
I will not tolerate any more of these comments, and I ask you again not to get personal.
More a misrepresntation, than outright intentional lie.
You warned us that we would get a influx of immigrants through the ports, following the extentsion. It's only Tuesday (3 days in) and I can't move around East Kent because of all the immigrants from the new countries...
He says sarcastically...
Did not
I was dicussing the web of lies HMGov was weaving
misrepresntation from you
What lies were you discussing then?
There you go, lying again.
