I recently travelled to Newquay for a surfing weekend, and had great fun, after reading this months copy of wavelenth i seen the advert for gold coast ocean fest 04' i was just wondering if anyones been or going and could you tell me if it was any good? And also any idea where i can get a cheap beginners board! Cheers :p

    I see your in south wales.... head off to the Gower (Port Eynon, 3 cliffs etc) where you will find a number of good shops which can help you get a bord.

    Get a second hand - and then it matters less if/when you ding it!

    I would suggest some shops towards Aberystwyth - but that may be calssed as advertising, so if you want to know PM me!!! :)

    Gower has good surf - go do it babe!

    LOL. I live about 5 miles away. Ill be there. Its good fun but its a competition. Like pros. But you should def start surfin if you can do it regulary.

    Well you should. Gold coast is massive! There arnt just surfing competitions, there are bands, skating etc. Normally the weather is great for that weekend aswell!
