dumping by text message.

Last year I decided I needed to dump my boyfriend because he was becoming too attached and I didn't want to hurt him because I didn't feel the same way. I was too upset to phone him so I sent him a text message. When I saw him 5 days later he was still talking to me , I assumed he had received it and didn't see him for a bit. Three weeks later he rang me to ask me why I hadn't seen him... he had never received the message. so my advice is to tell the person directly. If you can't face speaking to them in person, phone them. at least you know they have understood what is going on.

    i think dumping by text message is the easy and immature way to dump someone. If u can't do it face to face then at least phone

    After having that done to me i really felt used and taken for granted. It shows that you obviously dont care about the others feelings if you can do something so harsh to them!!
    I think its bang out of order!!

    I have dumped several people by txting them because I couldnt face them, but have also done it in person. It may be harder in person, but it is much kinder towards them. I really regret dumping people by txt. Im not going to do that again. I wouldnt recomend it.

    dude, dumping by txt aint very fair cos when u are in a relationship, u have to be grown up enough to finish it

    I've NEVER dumped anyone by txt!!! I think its a cowardly & stupid way to dump someone. I've had it done to me & i lost respect for the guy after that. <IMG alt="image" SRC="http://www.thesite.org/ubb/mad.gif"&gt;

    i might not have huge amounts of experience in this field (what with my one 4-day long relationship) but when i dumped her i did it 2 her face, tho i did send ominous sounding txts b4, 2 get her prepared. after that, she said i was a bloody nice guy 4 having the decency 2 do it 2 her face rather than txt her, like sum of her friends had been dumped . . . . .
    Because I want more stars.

    Dumping by txt shows that u have no respect or regard for the person u were with, i think it's selfish, immature and cowardly. (sorry if i seem harsh, a lad dumped one of my best mates yesterday by txt and im really annoyed - after 11 months!!)

    i wouldnt even consider breaking up with someone over a txt msg
