Weird post - hair!

Former MemberFormer Member Posts: 1,876,323 The Mix Honorary Guru
Right... this is going to sound really damn strange!

I've been going out with my girlfriend for about 2 years and we have a lot in common. Something we've found recently is that she likes me playing with her hair, and I like playing with it (before any confusion sets in - the hair on her HEAD!!!)

I've been trying to do simple stuff with her hair but I have no idea what to do, and when I do try things, it goes really badly wrong. I've successfully managed to straighten her hair (after many attempts but getting better now) but when I try anything simple like bunches, or pony tail or plait it goes really badly wrong.

has anyone got any advice!?

I warned you it would be a weird and strange and just freaky post but I need all the help I can get!

I think it may be a practice practice practice thing but she's tried showing me but when I try things, I always fluff them up and it's doing my head in. :eek2:

    Thanks guys :)

    awww how cute.

i love it when my hair gets played with. it doesn't matter if you can do a style or anything, it's the fact that you're doing it that counts. the feeling of you putting your hands through her hair and brushing it and attempting to put it in a bobble. thats what makes it nice, not whether you can actually walk outside with it at the end.

i used to help dye my boyfriend's hair, but i don't sugest you do that with your girlfriend as it sound like it might go horribly wrong!!!

go and learn indian head massage soooooooooo nice and i'm sure she would like that that to have knot's in her hair, or to have her head shaved!!!!!!

or persuade her to have in in dreads, then you can't do much with it!!:)

i so want dreads but i don't think it would look good on me.

*remembers the state of her hair and goes off to find a good permanent blue/black hair dye*

try gently runing your fingers in as she lies eyes closed in your arms cuddled.
Or try to give a head massage- more head than hair but you'll be surprised by the results

just a sec... how is this a fashion post suddenly?
    i'd say it's more relationships.

I like ideas of head massage so shall research this **wanders off to googleise**

Not too good at fancy stuff. She had loads of plaits once - think it was around 50 or 60 but when she took them out her hair went v knotty and had to be cut out :(

loads of conditioner and a wide-toothed comb will get all the knots out.

    for future reference.

you can untangle several-year-old dreads using this method.... you put loads of conditioner on, leave it for at least 15 mins, then with the conditioner STILL ON start untangling at the ends and work your way up to the roots. it can take hours, but there's never been a knot i couldn't undo in this way.

*has had several head-fulls of braids and dreads*
