Hello, and welcome to TheSite, most people on here are nice (except z0ma, who is dreadful).

However, PLEASE do not use txt speak, its vile, very annoying and will mean you will never ever have any friends here!

    It is a very dangerous habit to get into though isnt it.

    For example;

    Why do you feel you are suitable for this job?

    Wel i thnk that i is v good for job cus i hve 2...etc.

    They're going to laugh at you.

    Using text speak is just plain rude, if you cant take the time to actually write things out properly so they are easy to read why should anyone else take the time to reply?

    I dont mean to sound arsey, I am normally very pleasant, as most people on here would reassure you. However I really can't stand txt speak, and I am not the only one.

    That and its against the rules of the place.

    I agree with both of u...... it is annoying but am just so used 2 txtin that it comes naturally 2 mo.... oops.... av written this whole speech thing in txt language...... oh well :)

    I despair for this country when people naturally type like this. Please tell me there are times when you type normally.

    It really is a pet peeve of mine. There is now a level of snobbery that has developed. ne1 hu typs lyk dis isnt wurf talkin 2. They are usually dumbarses. ( Not calling you a dumbass by the way.)

    I frequently text, and my posts don't contain text speak. (Neither do my texts for that matter).

    It's just considerate to not post in text talk - not all people are fluent in jibberish, and it is in the board rules - so I don't see why users of text speak get in such a huff about it, when somebody complains. :rolleyes:

    I think these newbies have a sense of humour, writing out their hurried agreements in text talk.

    Kandy, you *must* remember not to use text talk, given you went through the whole thing last time you were here.

    A very wise girl (who I now hate with the height of 1000 mountains) once told me 'you are taught English. Use it.' So now I use full English in all my posts and texts. On the odd occasion when I can't spell. Or I can't fit something into a text.

    Doesn't that annoy you how texts have such small character space?
