This happened to me last year. I was going out with this girl that I really liked(actually loved her and told her this and she said she loved me)but she was always pally with her ex.

I didnt think much about it until I read her text messages(bad I know)and found texts on it from her ex saying "I really miss you to" and then the alarm bells started to ring.

Then she kept on seeing him but always said that nothing was going on(she didnt know I knew about the texts)

I eventually broke things off(heart broken)and the next day I found out that she was seeing her ex again.

I think you should be wary about the ex, but thats only my opinion. I hope things work out and that it doesnt end the same way it ended for me.
