Mothers day...why did i bother.
i bought my mum a card and some chocolates and she just told me to not have bothered and to shove it up my arse. ive told some mates what she is like, yet they think shes the nicest person in the world, but when they arnt around shes so mean so my mates dont believe she can be like this.
but she is, why did i bother wasting my time and money on stuff if its just thrown back in my face :'(

awwwww maybe she just has some problems at the moment and didn't mean to take them out on you. im sure if you hadn't have got her anything she would hav been upset.

Maybe youshould try talking to her about how she upset you.

There's a girl in my mirror
I wonder who she is
Sometimes I think I know her
Sometimes I really wish I did

ouch...that was a bad blow. but all mothers love their children so im sure she didn't mean to be nasty to you. maybe she had a bad day or something happened that you don't know about.

just try and make the peace. say that you have took to all this bother and you don't know why she's so moody...maybe ask her why?

children in the front causes accidents...accidents in the back causes children...

that would hurt. i know mum's can be a bitch, and I would like to find something nice or some excuse to explain the situation you find yourself in, but i cannot. i doubt that she hates you, but i think it is up to you to find out if she has a problem with you/in general. good luck mate.

And all the grown-ups say is sorry, cos we got no reply.

It's a hard one, but its defineltly not u in the wrong, and im sure deep down she appreciates the thought.

My mum said from the off that she didnt want any presents or cards from any of us (there 6 of us u c), b coz she finds the whole thing cheesy and a bit daft. Maybe this is wot ure mum feels ? Especially if things have been ok between u lately.

But its a right shame that u feel like this, and i'm sure your mum did apprecaite the gesture deep down.

Good luck, and keep ure head up !!!

Awwwwwwwww I'm sorry hun - that's really mean, no wonder you're hurt. I wish I could offer some productive advice but I think everything's been said already. Maybe ask her what the problem is and if she doesn't want you to buy things for her in the future why she couldn't have said so in a nicer way.

And don't let it get you too down

We're all here for you

L-i-l what can I say? I'm so so sorry. And you have no idea why she's like this? I'm really sorry - I don't know what to suggest; I can only offer sympathy. I don't know if you have yahoo but my ID is citric_chickpea if you ever wanna talk and I have MSN too.

I'm sorry I can't help

L-I-L, how long has she been like this? No-one should treat their child like his, the effect on you must be devastating.

If it is a fairly recent thing, can you remember when it started? How old is she? What was going on in your lives when it started?

It sounds to me like she is desperately depressed & maybe doesn't feel worthy of your affection, depression is highly destructive and can affect people in many different ways. Maybe your mother cannot control her feelings & reactions and this reinforces the depression.

Are there any close family members that you can talk to, or maybe one of her friends?

Sounds to me like she needs some help, but unfortunately she probably won't thank you for it (as you found out).

If I am so off mark it's unbelievable then please ignore this post (or tell me ). But if there is anything in it then you probably need help as a family. Perhaps a visit to your gp might help?

Take care & just know that if it is depression, it's not your fault & although it might not feel like it now, one day, she will appreciate you again.

Have you tried talking to your dad, maybe he can shed some light on her behaviour. She may be having probelms at the moment. Or try talking to other members of the family
