Fucking great song (the first in this thread :yeees: )
Jeff Buckley - Eternal Life
Favourite songs are often really personal to the individual person, aint just about the "quality" of the song. Could bring back memories, might be sentimental for some reason, or might even just be someone with a different opinion to your own.
So personally, I don't think any of us can judge what other people have as their favourite song.
I don't like people who claim their favourite song EVER is one that was released really recently. It's just silly.
Yeah not really.
Favourite song of all time is a bit of a toughie, I wouldn't be able to say. Further Seems Forever - Snowbirds And Townies never fails to satisfy me, and Jimmy Eat World - For Me This Is Heaven.
What about Kind Of Like Spitting - All Else Failed?
Too many songs to choose from. They're just three off the top of my head, it'd be way to hard to think about this properly.
Tbh, your favourite ever song is a Disney theme, therefore negating any argument.
And yes Tim, I agree with you - that just smacks of short-sightedness. Paint It Black is a tune. As is Digital bath actually Rise and Shine.
and!
Simply Red- Stars
sorry i couldnt choose!!
Yes but homeboys, a recent tune and an old tune have little to seperate them if a person heard them at the same time, if you see what I'm saying (obviously they do technically have a lot to seperate them). Therefore some recent picks (ie past 2 years) are perfectly valid, obviously if you pick Britney Spears - Me Against The Music that's a little different.
Yeh that's my point, if they pick a tune from the last week or so then it hasn't had time to sink in and mean anything so it's just a superficial choice that will invariably change if you asked that person the same question two weeks later.
Tool - Stinkfist
Offspring - Gone Away
Bad Religion - Slumber
all those songs have pretty special memorys to me.
So, either 2PAC-Changes or Elton John- Your Song
Build me up, Buttercup - the Foundations
And y'all can fuck off. In advance.
Billy Joel - Lullaby
Just to me a really powerful song and has loads of great happy things associated with it.
Gorecki by lamb
anything by the Cure
All of Radiohead's Pablo Honey album
