How do you ask someone out?

I was just wondering generally how people ask someone out, like through a letter/email/text message, or face to face, or through a friend or what?

At the moment I tend to go for through a friend because I know the guy's friends and it's easier that way.... although I think it's probably better to ask face to face (been there, done that, not got the boyfriend, will think again about trying it in the future <IMG alt="image" SRC="http://www.thesite.org/ubb/tongue.gif">)

What about everyone else?

i dont tend to ask people out... the people i have been out with, it just seems to happen. i think i prefer that to being asked out by someone... when i was asked out by guy's friends for them back in school i didnt like it and just said no. so i would recommend not getting a friend to ask me out if you want to go out with me! <IMG alt="image" SRC="http://www.thesite.org/ubb/tongue.gif"&gt;

I personally like getting to know people first (probably why I end up fancying some of my friends) and then sort of see them for a while and eventually pluck up the courage to tell then how I feel and ask them out...

The other way things usually happen is that my friends ask the person if I'm going out with them and either:

a) do it for me
b) suggest it in front of us both

I don't think I've asked anyone out, they've always got to me first hehe. But if I wanted to ask someone I'd make sure I got to know them better if I didn't already then I'd flirt a little and just go with the flow. I'd probably drop a few hints so they get the message lol. Although come to think of it, I might end up feeling too shy hehe.

I hate asking ppl out. I haven't asked ne1 out 4 AGES!! Last time i did woz prob in Yr8 just over 3yrs ago!!

yeah i don't hink you necessarily just say WILL YOU BE MY B/F / G/F????? (delete as appropiate) personally it just happens like so many other things just happen. At first you have a laugh then one day you go, god i fancy him. Then hope they feel the same and then it's like, go for a kiss and it happens from there. Some ppl go for the I'M JUST SEEING HIM......eh???? and then other HES MY BLOKE. The best bit is talkign to girl i know and blokes awho are like im seeign them but i wanna date them...
So anyway, Just let him know youre interested and then go for it! A kiss helps!!
