    i dont wanna get all serious, but that is pretty offensive. if u had any idea of what was involved for some of our top swimmers in the UK you would soon take that back and actually admire what they do

    lmfao....Liam loves the water too. Its funny coz after I had the baby my cousin rung our mate to tell him and b4 he said anything my mate said "Laurens had the baby hasnt she." and apparently he knew coz in his star sign it says a friend has had her baby and he is going to be a sporting hero!!!I was counting on a footballer but an olympic swimmer would be fine lmfao!

    dude, i'm an aussie. u kept up with the world championships? dont worry, the aussies just swept it away with 13 golds (Thorpe got 5).

    seriously, i have 1/2 an idea of what those guys go thru, and even that is enuff to leave me in total awe of them. i didn't mean it to be offensive, all athletes have my complete respect.


    If there's anything more important than my ego around here, i want it caught and shot now

    thorpe doesn't actually train that much compared to some, he just has awesome talent and physique...it's scary to think of what he is capable of if he worked himself to the limit. he's pretty young though so anything too drastic may have a negative effect on his career

    i would say one of the most dedicated athletes in the world is actually british - paula radcliffe. what she's done and been through is phenomenal
