Please help, I dont know how to work out this question...

    i've done it, its pretty simple. Answer I worked out is 0.6km- you use trig rules (sohcahtoa) to work it out. Not going to help more since its your own work :p

    To be fair he did say he was stuck as to how to do it, not that he wanted the answer :p

    Grr I got the same bit of homework again. I still can't remember how to do it. I hate Pythagoras!!! :mad:

    Just make a simple triangle- fill in the bits you know, ie: what angle of the ground the 90 degress right angle and degrees for other angle- you tyhen have the length of one side so use what ever rule applies. All trinagles and filing in what you know!

    Always try to draw out or rewrite what your been asked for in a Q

    Ynox said it's 0.6 but I get 4.96 :confused: who is right?

    I went

    Cos 7= A/H

    Cos 7= X/5

    5x cos 7 = X

    X= 4.96

    Am I right?

    well first it isnt pythagoras and its

    sin 7 = opp/hyp
    sin 7 = height/5
    5sin 7 = height
