beethoven's ninth - clockwork orange

ok, i was watching a clockwork orange yesterday, and i quite fancy listening to beethoven's ninth. but... i'm not one for classical music and hmv's website has confused me. would i get it on a cd by itself? or what? i don't know how long it is or anything :( i'm soo uncultured lol... i can't get it off kazaa because daddy dearest is complaining lots about viruses at the mo.

    You can get a classical collection, or possible a Beethoven collection CD which may contain it. Best to ask at the counter.

    Why not buy the clockwork orange soundtrack?

    ooh... it has a soundtrack? i shall av a quick looky on amazon.

    Try the Naxos series. Theyre pretty cheep, and quite widely available, and of a good quality. It would probably have his ninth plus one or maybe two of the others, or some other work along the same lines.

    And try to get the full symphony if you can. Alot of the complilation CDs just have one movement, and to quote my Alevel music teacher "Its like reading just one chapter of a book and expecting to know the plot"
