    These were 250 whales killed over two years. The 100 they were intending to kill this year were reduced to only 38 so it may be even less overall (for those two years that is).

    And don't forget that for long fishing has been Iceland's main source of income. Bad management of fishing has had bad effects in the past, and if we have to compete against the whales for fish as well that may increase the impact on our economy in the future.

    I still do not believe that the whales are as bad as many of the whaling-supportists (:p) make them out to be though (say they eat x many percent of the fish each year, blah blah). But as long as it is done within reason then it's not going to harm anybody.
