What's on TV?! Thread

LilyLily Community Manager, Community Connector Posts: 62 Boards Initiate
Hey all!

I noticed that a lot of you love to chat about what's currently on the telly, including your favourite soaps or reality TV - so I thought it would be cool to have a dedicated thread where we could all share our thoughts or just have a chat about what we're watching.

Do remember that there is a chance of Spoilers in this thread so be mindful!

What has everyone been watching recently? I know Celebrity Big Brother has just finished, and although I didn't watch it this year, I know it is often a hot topic of discussion! Has anyone else watched it?

I definitely watched Celebrity Big brother this year because mostly of the lineup and celebs in there too. I've also been watching season 2 of Doctor Who recently which has been fantastic. At first I'd thought I don't know if this second season will be just as good the first series. But I was pleasantly surprised. Ncuti Gatwa continues to be a fantastic doctor. I also been watching Casualty as well and a little bit of race across the world which has been okay mostly.

@Amy22 ahh thank you so much for sharing!

I love Doctor Who so much - big time comfort show, haha! I'm so glad you're enjoying Ncuti - me too, he's fantastic.

What do you think of his new companion?

@shannon_164 , oh wow Derry Girls is so good! Definitely one to watch over and over again!

Is anyone else a bit fan of repeat-watching things? I know I am!

I've found myself watching less soaps and dramas in the past year but I have a soft spot for Casualty. I watch it every Saturday. I think the current storylines are okay but some are weaker than others and no matter how bad the writing gets I'll probably always watch it out of habit. I also like watching medical docu's such as Ambulance, 24 in A&E etc.

I really do need to get back into watching things on TV, coz i feel the only time i do is in the evening when every channel has quiz shows on - so unless we are including 'The Chase' or 'Pointless', i haven't got much to add. I have to agree though i do loveee derry girls and i'm definitely due a rewatch soon.

will be using this thread in the future for recommendations

Sort of counts as BBC iPlayer, but SAS Rogue Heroes is a mad one. And damn, Doctor Who this season is on fire. Best several episode run since Series 10.

Oh man I'm going to have to write some of these down! I haven't really watched TV for a while, I tend to just end up watching something on Youtube but I do miss just sitting down and throwing something on the TV

@Serxphic , I feel you! I can be quite similiar! I often find YouTube will be the first thing I turn on. What kind of channels do you like to watch?

@DonnerKebab , omg the SAS series on BBC I-player are always so gripping!!!

@Sian321 Yess.. Youtube is just too easy! Honestly I watch such a wide variation of channels now that I think about it, I often watch channels relating to games I play, tech channels, more documentary style channels, makeup/beauty... and honestly loads more LOL what about you?

Also going to use this thread for inspiration.

I tend to watch the same shows, usually Gilmore Girls, Derry Girls, Gavin and Stacey and quiz shows like the 1% club.

My favourite thing to watch on YouTube is travel vlogs to places I haven't been like Disney World.
