Hey @ellie2000, thank you for sharing this with us. It's good to hear that you're going to these group sessions as a forum to talk about experiences. I can hear how it's not clear on what you're meant to be talking about in the session. Could you explain a little more about how management of your house is affecting these sessions? We're here to listen to you <3

Hey @ellie2000 , thanks so much for this post, and I just wanted to follow up to ask how you're doing?

What I'm hearing you say is that because you've been feeling so let down by your care management team, oftentimes your SLT meetings are taken up by talking about that rather than getting support with SA. Is that right?

I can imagine that feeling frustrating, and I wonder if you'd like to share more about this with us? We're here to listen without judgement.

I will share below some other support services that offer help around SA if helpful:
One In Four provide specialist support for survivors of sexual violence, domestic abuse, child sexual abuse, and trauma in London. They offer one-to-one weekly face-to-face counselling sessions which can allow you to explore and work through your experience of childhood sexual abuse or violence, and any other traumas. They also offer advocacy to help and support you through a judicial process. They offer Psychoeducation Workshops in their South London and North London centres which are stabilisation workshops focusing on techniques and exercises to manage the effects of trauma and to learn how to self-regulate. To find out more about their services go to https://oneinfour.org.uk/

Refuge supports women through all forms of violence and abuse. This includes domestic violence, sexual violence, female genital mutilation, forced marriage and 'honor-based' violence, human trafficking and modern slavery. They offer community support, access to refuges, advocacy, culturally-specific services for women from minority ethnic groups who may be facing additional barriers and much more. Their helpline is available 24/7 on 0808 2000 247. For more information, visit their website. https://www.refuge.org.uk/

There’s an organisation called Rape Crisis which offers emotional support and information for women and girls over the age of 16 years, who are survivors of rape or childhood sexual abuse. They also have self help resources available on their website www.rapecrisis.org.uk and can help you find your local Rape Crisis Centre. Some of their centres are also able to support men and boys. Their Rape and Sexual Abuse Support Line is open 24/7 every day of the year. You can call free on 0808 500 2222 or visit their website to start a free online chat. They also provide information on local Rape Crisis Centres. Most of their centres provide free, women-centred counselling. Some also provide counselling for girls, men and boys. Many of these centres provide specialist advice for people wanting to report to the police.

    With care :star:
