Poorly and tonight

So basically this is what happened yesterday: I was at the park at lunch with a friend and it was muddy and I was going down the mud bank and slipped and smacked my head/neck and at first I thought it was just the shock of falling but then across the rest of the day I became really unwell and they were all signs of a concussion so when I got off the bus my mum said we need to go to A&E to get checked out and so from 7pm of being there and 8am of leaving this morning I’ve had no sleep, been poked and prodded, had a CT scan that ruled out any internal damage (good news is I asked the guy if I had a brain on the scans and he said yes) so then after more physical tests they cleared me to go home and because it’s a severe concussion I have to be on bed rest which is as well really cos I bruised all my collar bone and top of my spine and can barely move it so going to be stuck at home for awhile

On a Tuesday my mum goes to zumba with some of her friends from 6pm till 8:30 and when we were at the hospital I asked if she was going and she said depends if I’m able to be alone and I said I will be but then this morning I got a leaflet at discharge that said I’m not allowed to be alone for the next 48 hours which I’m hoping she didn’t see because she loves zumba I want her to go and enjoy herself.

Shit I fell asleep again wasted half the day but I suppose that’s okay a bit?

My mum stayed home and didn’t go to Zumba and she’s staying home tomorrow with me even though she’s going to loose a days pay I said I could go to my aunt or granddads but she said will need that rest of the week

How has it been since @Rose113? We know you really care about other people but it is important you feel supported and taken care of too. It sounds like things have been really difficult for you recently. How did it feel to have your mum with you?

@Laura_tigger82 really struggling physically, my neck isn’t okay but going to get an urgent appointment tomorrow if one is available

My neck is swollen and I have a lump that’s like just out of centre from the middle, I spoke to 111 and they said to get an appointment with my GP tomorrow.

Hey @Rose113, just checking in. I'm sorry to hear what happened - how are you feeling today? It sounds like a painful and difficult time. I'm glad that you have your mum there to support you. I hope you were able to get seen by a doctor today so that you can get support/relief? Let us know how you're doing, we're here to support you!
