This time of year can feel so, so isolating, espcially when there's pressure to 'pretend' like you're okay too to keep the Christmas cheer. That's extreamly hard, and adds a whole extra layer of pressure. Keeping everything bottled up inside. How aware were your Mum and sister that you were struggling?
I hear you say that you were stupid for feeling that way, but sh urges can be so intense and it sounds to me like you were doing your very best just to get through the day. How did the rest of your evening go in the end? This time of year can be so tough. I hope you can be gentle with yourself. You have done and felt nothing wrong.
