how do you "ignore" someone if their account is private

Normally to ignore someone on here you need to go on their profile to do it but if its private how are you supposed to do it? Im just curious as im playing about a bit and its something i realised. Also is there any way to remove the thing where if you try to message someone and theyre ignoring you where it tells you lol that hurt a bit

    I don't think so @Chloe234 - that's part of the functionality. I can get why it's uncomfy though.
