Would having a laptop help with my work searching?

TheNightmareTheNightmare Posts: 2,587 Boards Guru
I have done another post more in detail about that having a laptop to apply to jobs on might help better. I've been applying to jobs on my phone but I was offered a laptop a few months ago for my job search so was thinking, I could maybe still get some and if I had it would it be help. It's just I know its a free laptop but if it's not worth it then it's just really going to be clutter. Personally I just apply on my phone because there's apps for phones like indeed, reed and job sites it's not really been an issue anywhere applying on my phone, maybe it takes a bit longer, I think that's it really. I have been suggested that having a laptop would help though.

Hey @TheNightmare I find laptops are a bit easier for anything typing related or even doing research around jobs. I've had the job apps on my phone which were convenient and quicker to look for jobs, but then I applied on my laptop where I created my CV etc. I found that filling out applications was a lot easier on a laptop and I had a better idea of the amount I was writing and submitting because I could see it on a bigger screen!

Would you be able to trial using the laptop and then give it back if you don't get on with it? I think everyone's different so kinda depends on if you think you'd use it much! Love that it's free though that's super convenient ! :)
