Irregular, unpredictable periods

PetiteQuarkPetiteQuark Posts: 85 Budding Regular
I seriously have no idea whats wrong with me for whatever reason on some months i get my period and on other months i see alot of weird white discharge. And when i do get it its long and heavy and theres alot of spotting. It used to be regular when i was 10-14 but since year 11 its messed up. I got bloodwork done and they said everything is normal idk. And i have an ultrasound soon because of this, and i had one before they found something really messed up and they want to check it out im scared

Hi @PetiteQuark I can understand you may be scared as any changes with your body can be daunting. To put your mind at ease try and remember that the doctors will make sure to do all the tests you need to figure out what is going on for you, and then they will be able to help you moving forward for your next steps. You're in the best hands

Hey @PetiteQuark , thank you for trusting us with this. That sounds really anxiety-inducing, and I know it can be really daunting when our bodies are behaving in unexpected ways or there are sudden changes and you don't really know why.

You mentioned you're getting an ultrasound, and I agree with @Orchid059 that it feels really positive that you're opening up about this and seeking professional medical advice. I really hope they come back to you with answers soon so you don't have to wait too long.

You said you feel scared, and I wondered if you'd like to talk more about this? What part are you most afraid of right now? May I ask, what are you scared will happen?

I hope you can be kind to yourself and do some nice activities that feel calming or a distraction. Is there anyone else in your life that you've been able to confide in about these worries? I'll put some calming meditation videos below too if that's comforting:

I had an ultrasound before and they did find something quite abnormal but they want to confirm it. And that scares me. I dont know if its also the amount of stress because I have a stressful life and nowhere really to express that frustration.

as someone who has had exactly what you described getting a ultrasound can be so beneficial. finding something abnormal can be terrifying bc of course our minds think it should find something right but dont stress to much bc it seems your doing all the right things to find out what’s going on for you. have you spoken to a dr abt your concerns and worries? as someone who recently had a ultrasound and came back abnormal it is scary bc its the unknowns etc but your under ppl who are specifically trained in this and i hope they can find whats going on for you. 🫶🏻
keep your face always toward the sunshine and shadows will fall behind you. 🤍
