I want people to share cool things that bring them joy.
Stimming is short for self-stimulating behaviors. The term “stim” is used to describe one of these behaviors, which can include doing an action over and over or repeating the same sound several times. You may use stimming to help cope with emotions.
Mine are:
• listening to stimmy music usually on repeat (currently its lady gaga)
• repeating phrases- mine or from media
• chewing things: tapioca balls when drinking boba tea🧋, mint gum, chewing toys for kids and different miscellaneous stuff
• rocking back & forth or side to side, or spinning around
• running around, jumping and dancing
• touching fluffy or soft textures like my cat’s fur, arm hair, fingernails, and cotton.
• looking at my favourite color- green
• walking on tiptoes

For now that’s all, maybe I’ll add more later. You can add your favourite too! Or even say that you don’t like something I like! Just tell me why, im curious /lh

Hiya I also do some of these stims too as well I love listening to music and I love that you listen to Lady Gaga, I do too sometimes, she's such an icon!. I also rock back and forth sometimes too. I find art and visual art a great stim for me because I love being to able to colour and I also knit and crochet because of the tactile feeling. I don't have any pets sadly but I think if I did that would also be another stim. I think its sweet that you have shared some of the stims you do with us here as it's super helpful to talk about them and can also help others too finding stims. I tend to have a bunch of fidget toys. I may even take a photo of the bag I got which has got some of my stims in there especially my popper fidget toys which I love the most.

Please do take a photo if you want! I’m personally not a fan of fidget toys (l loose them, I forget to take them with me, get tunnel vision on a task and forget to use them instead of plucking my hair or abusing my skin and nails, etc), though today i made this beaded bracelet, and i like it still! pic.:

The beads r wooden so they make a pleasant sound, and i can spin them or move around or gnaw on them.

Ooo I love that so much @dZhenGa I really want to make bracelets too someday because it would be nice to have something to fidget with. I also have fidget spinner rings when I go out just in case I get anxious or nervous sometimes. I find it helps. I get you sometimes fidget toys can go missing or walk abouts. One time I got super hyped with a tangle toy and threw it across the room then I had to go and find it :joy:.

    Addition to the post:
    • putting on makeup/face paint

@dZhenGa I also love doing makeup too I find it can be quite calming and relaxing and it also makes me feel confident. I would say cosplay too for me but I haven't got a lot of makeup things to do cosplay just yet. I also want to learn SFX makeup too such as prosthetics and such. However sometimes the makeup kits can total up to very expensive and pricey :joy: and I ain't got that money yet to get all the kits.

@Amy22 i get you, make up is expensive, im just privileged to have money😅 And i like cosplay too, absolutely stunned by people who do cosplays! Especially very complex ones. Like, have you seen that one springtrap (a character from fnaf) cosplay from 3 years ago? It’s sooo cool. Hold on I’ll link it.

    Here:

Its so similar to the game!

Anyway i hope you’ll succeed in your passion for sfx make up d(^_^o)

Omg wow thats so so amazing and super cool, it's amazing to think how they captured Springtrap so well especially the realism and style of the game. I know someone made an entire Freddy Fazbear costume which talks and everything and it's like wearing an endoskeleton. I think cosplay is so fun too. Like I can get the stuff for it but I need to save up my money because I do tend to spend a lot on books mostly, so I need to save up for it all.
