Just reiterating what I shared on your other post @ellie2000, well done for contacting someone about this and making a complaint - you shouldn't have to live in distress from your neighbours. The council will usually ask you to keep a log of incidents so they can see how much distress the neighbours are causing you. Is that who you emailed? I'm glad you were able to get somewhere nice this weekend to chill.

When you say you wish you could erase yourself and start again, can you let us know what you mean by this? <3

What you are mentioning here is called dissociation this is when our mind cuts out for some time to protect itself from a stressful thought, feeling, memory etc. It's the mind's defensive mechanism to protect ourselves from distress. So it is perfectly normal to experience this and you are definitely not alone.

For your second point expressing yourself without a filter is a typical response to frustration. Often in the moment it can feel good to say how we exactly feel, but to manage and avoid these episodes it is best to try and identify and understand the reasons behind why you may be frustrated in the first place.

Lastly, when I ever find myself in a state of panic I often try to use diversion techniques to distract me and to regulate my breathing. I quite like the 5 sense grounding technique which incorporates mindfulness exercises to allow you to focus on the present moment and reduce feelings of panic. The order goes: 1) Name five things you can see 2) Focus on four things you can feel 3) Name three things you can hear 4) Notice two things you can smell 5) Focus on one thing you can taste.

I hope this helps you. Keep reaching out to us <3
