I just joined The Mix and I am excited to be a part of the community!
I have quite a few interests: reading books (on religion, philosophy, psychology and self-improvement), spending time outdoors, working out and martial arts, playing board games and baking. Another thing about me is that I converted to Islam around two years ago and I found peace and contentment in the religion.

All the best,

And wow! It's interesting that you studied philosophy at A-levels. I had wanted to study that at college too but they didn't offer it where I went.
I hope to have more discussions with you!
What about you? What psychology books do you like, and do you have any recommendations?
Anyway, welcome to the mix and I hope you're having a great day!
And yes, you’re right, you can’t force yourself to believe in something that you don’t. It comes from the heart.
I'm hoping to read Predictably Irrational which sounds interesting
i totally get you! when I'm doing more physical exercise i just feel better.
it's interesting i was reading about this study the other day and they found that the rates of relapse were significantly lower in people who had taken part in frequent exercise than those who were taking ssris. i just thought that was really interesting.
I love robins so much too because of their curious and friendly nature. Actually in fact once me and my parents managed to get friendly with a robin and they would visit us each day. The robin even brought his family down to see us too and he would chirp as well. We also had a female robin who moved into our bird box in our garden too once and she had baby robins and they were so cute!. Im hoping we get some more in the future!.
Philosophy is a very interesting topic to study I found and also very hard to remember for exams too haha. It was part of the curriculum that I did for RE so I did both ethics and philosophy. I had the option to study sociology but there weren't enough numbers of people signing up for it at A Levels so it was never offered to us.
It will be great to speak to you soon on the boards
I hope your doing well
Hugs,
