    Hey @ellie2000 - I've just moved your post into the General Chat area. :)

    I hadn't heard about this before but I just had a little look online and it looks like Euronymous was a Norwegian musician and was a founder of the early Norwegian black metal scene. He was also co-founder and guitarist of the Norwegian black metal band Mayhem.

    It looks like members of the Norwegian black metal scene began a wave of arson attacks on churches. I think many claimed to be Satanists and so opposed Christianity.
