suffering from long covid

Former MemberFormer Member Posts: 9 Confirmed not a robot
After nearly 3 years of suffering and not being able to get any answers to why, I've been referred to a long covid clinic. I think I'm quite fortunate as soon I got referred to the different specialist, I was able to get appointments within a few months. After 20 something appointments and seeing every department in the hospital, I'm happy that I'll be able to get some support with my health.

Hey @cherrybluceoc84 Lovely to meet you! Im really glad that you have been referred to the long covid clinic and hopefully they will be some help. I personally also have long covid and have found The Long covid self help guide book helpful as it’s written by the oxford LC clinic. Also the book sing if you cant dance is great and I feel you can really resonate with some of the experiences talked about in the book.

If Reading isn’t your thing as I know that can be difficult with Long Covid, Long Covid. Kids and Long Covid support are two really great charities and they have lots of resources on their website including chat forums and advice that you can maybe share with your family and friends to help them understand.

Really hope that your appointment goes well and let us know how you get on if you want to.We will be thinking of you :)<3

    Hiya,

So glad you're finally getting referred to the clinic. I'm lucky enough to have not been severely effected by covid, but I definitely found the exhaustion took a very long time to even start to improve (I know completely different to your situation but I think people underestimated how covid could effect people long term).

Hopefully the clinic can help and support you <3
