Hello everyone,
The Mix and The Green House have partnered together to provide a Support Circle group chat for young people to get text-based support from other young people who have been through similar experiences of sexual violence.
What is Support Circle?
Support Circle is a small group chat to support up to 5 young people per session (aged between 13-25). Young people can take turns to get support about whatever is on their mind or attend the session to listen to help others. Support Circle is moderated by trained volunteers who support in keeping the space safe and facilitating the session.
The Mix and The Green House have been running these online support groups for 6 months and will be re-launching on Thursday 16th November.
What is the co-design opportunity?
We would like to invite you to an online co-design session run by myself and @Gemma to help us design this space so we can make it feel as safe and supportive as possible for survivors of sexual violence. We will be running the session in one of The Mix's chat rooms where you can take part by text-chat.
Date: Thursday 9th November 7pm-8pm
We're keen to hear from young people who have experienced sexual violence about what helps them feel supported and we will make sure the sessions feels as safe and supportive as possible. If you are aged 16-25, please do sign up! Your thoughts and feedback are really valuable in shaping this support space.
How to sign up?
You can sign up to the co-design session by completing this form online - https://forms.office.com/e/GVWrrC8Qx1
If you have any questions, you can reach out to The Mix at community@themix.org.uk.
Hope to see you there

Maybe somethings don't get better, but we do. We get stronger. We learn to live with our situations as messy and ugly as they are. We fix what we can and we adapt to what we can't. Maybe some of us will never fully be okay, but at least we're here. We're still trying. We're doing the best we can. That's worth celebrating too ❤
