Need a carer

I'm classed as a vulnerable person and have high care and support needs and live alone, i cant meet my basic needs by myself. For 6 months my advocate has been trying to get social services to fund a carer for me and my case has been heard at the social service forum and they agree i need help, months ago I had someone from social services come here, but everything i told her went over her head and she made a judgement based on a pre arranged visit and closed my case it was opened again and we are going to make a complaint because i still dont have a carer and we dont know whats going on but in the mean time im going without and i want to ask if you know any organisations that can help

Some resources that might be able to support you include:
- Your local council
- Private carers (you can find these in local adverts usually or by Googling carers in your local area)
Do you have a family member or friend who could help in the meantime? Whilst this may not be ideal, they can provide temporary relief whilst you find a longer-term solution.
Have any of our wonderful community members got any other suggestions for how to find a carer - either based on your own experience or just general knowledge/awareness?
Please keep us in the loop with how things are going for you. We really care about you and we are all here for you - even if that's just listening to you
What I'd recommend would be to maybe seek for a support worker, since they can not only provide living and care support, but also mental health support. There are many private support workers, or you can seek advice from an agency, and they can match you to one!
Please do let me know how things unravel for you

You can also find one through LinkedIn, are you familiar with this app?
- Contact local advocacy organizations
- Reach out to charitable organizations
- Seek advice from legal clinics or services
- Local community centers and support groups
It's important to reach out for support and explore various avenues until you find the assistance you need. Persisting with your advocate and pursuing a complaint is a step in the right direction. You can try the link provided by @vicky_zin .
