Hey all - just thought I'd share a recent piece of news which I found really uplifting!
For those that are interested in climate change and renewable energy, you'll be glad to know that for the first time, wind power was the main source of the UK's electricity! The first three months of 2023 was also a record period for solar energy generation. Together, they made up 42% of our electricity demands, and are continuing to grow rapidly.
We've still got some way to reach 100% by 2035, but reaching milestones such as this are important steps on the way to reducing our emissions and making a planet a better place
