Feeling a lack of motivation to do my college work

Quite recently I have been feeling unmotivated to do my college work. I know that it is the Easter break and I should be taking some time off because otherwise I'll just burn myself out. Before the break my tutors kept saying to us all to work over easter and get most of our research. I have only started some of my research but not all of it. I have only just later this week started to work on my project. Everyone in my class is properly far ahead of me, even filming over Easter which stresses me. I just I don't know I feel behind on everything. Today I booked out my equipment for filming when I go back but I feel like I am rushing everything again. I don't know what's wrong with me personally as normally I can feel motivated and work on my project. I can its just I feel like whenever I work on it I lose my love for the project I am doing at the moment. I don't whether to continue really or do it all next week before I go back. I feel a bit stressed with everything. I'm putting myself through stupid things again as normal.
Just a person who likes pop culture and films

Even better that you have been able to balance some research with some rest - that is a win-win! Focus on your own pace and progression, you will get there, we have faith in you
Thank you @Laura_tigger82 I'm feeling a bit better now as I got a friend in a similar boat who I thought I talk to. I just feel like I put a lot of pressure on myself at the moment.
Hi, I guess I'm okayish a bit. I don't know, today I tried to do a little bit of work reflecting in my college diary thingy I use for each project I do. However, quite recently I really liked a film and I wanted to study it for a part of my project. However, my stupid overthinking and anxiety got in the way today even though I wrote about how it inspired me, for some reason I felt like a fraud like I shoulden't be using my interests as research. I will be honest my brain is being very very stupid and silly at the moment. I don't what is happening.
Remember that everyone experiences moments of doubt or uncertainty, and it's important to be kind to yourself and keep moving forward.
Thank you, yeah a bit. I managed to have a bit of a break through and I'm thinking of doing some animation
I love that even in the midst of a lot of stress and panic about your work, you're still able to come up with such creative ideas that you are passionate about . I am certainly a believer that utilising your existing interests to inform your work can improve the overall quality of a project, because you are legitimately interested in what you are creating and investigating.
Plus, every idea has really been done before in some way or another, I reckon. Like, Michelangelo wasn't the first person to take marble and turn it into a statue, but everyone loves up the David. I'm also a huge lover of people coming together to improve or build upon an idea. For example, in Psychology it's brilliant when lots of people study the same topic because it gives us lots of evidence and information about a given phenomenon
I'd love to hear some more about your animation idea so far xxx
