As someone who worked in a library for four years while I was at sixth-form and uni, I think there's only one answer that I can give to this @Amy22.

    The books are FREE! Wohoo!

Always loved the library! Far more accessible and affordable. Sometimes you can get some good suggestions from people there too, which is nice :)

I prefer to use the library although the library in my home town has little choice. I don't have the room to keep buying books, so if I do buy them I get them from a charity shop and then just donate them back when I've finished reading them if I didn't love the book.

I like to have my own physical copy of books, as I like to make notes in the books. I also like just generally being able to hold and read a physical copy of a book.

Tough choice actually! :o There is something lovely about getting a getting a brand new undamaged book, so that's the main reason I choose new. Can't hate libraries though as they have so many unusual books that you can borrow for free, and they also have other services like computers and DVDs/CDs you can borrow. Think some also have cafes too.
