"The Brexit vote came as a massive blow to students across the UK. " No it didnt lol, speak for yourself. "Oh no not my ERASMUS opportunities 99% of students dont even know exist" LOLLLLLL

This entire article reads like somebody who voted Labour for last 20 years and is just harping on on the typical "bla bla spend more money, we know we already spend enormous amounts but its fine dont worry about how much we spend already WE MUST SPEND EVEN MORE!"

throwing money at a problem is not a good way to make that problem go away. Look at HS2. Is HS2 done? No. Has HS2 been worked on for last 10-15 years? Yes. Do unions and various other bodies of workers who work for government money know that this is a huge project that they all can make lots of money on? Yes. Spending lots and throwing out dumb blanket statements like "government should do more!" will only result in corruption and financial mismanagement. Government is bad at spending money. Telling it to spend more will make it even worse.

And the real advice here is to first look at what the government is already spending money on and see if we can take money otu of those things, because they don't matter, and two, to be very specific and very parsimonious with every new project you support or embark upon.
