Why do we have to reveal our name, email and phone number before entering one-to-one chat?

    This is a good question @spoon. :) Happy to shed some light...

    If you use The Mix's 1-2-1 services multiple times, having a record of who you are means the team knows what you spoke about previosuly. That way, you don't have to repeat stuff.

    If the team believes your life is at immediate risk, they may expand your circle of confidentiality to include the emergency services. When this happens, the team passes information to emergency services that could help identify you so they can make sure you're safe.

    I should also say that any records we keep are stored confidentially within The Mix, and as a rule they aren't even shared between internal teams.

    If you wanted to maximise your anonymity, you could enter false information in those fields. Just bear in mind there are some drawbacks to that. :)
