something that helps me is an exercise I did in ACT called expansion, which is about making space for feelings e.g. when you're triggered, which makes them cause less trouble than trying to avoid or get rid of feelings

all while allowing the sensation to do what it's doing, not judging it just noticing, and bringing your attention back to your breathing and the sensation if you can whenever your mind wanders, and when that sensation no longer bothers you, move onto the next one and repeat until your feelings have either moved on or they're still there but you can accept them and you don't struggle with them

also I'd love to have a piano, but at the mo I'm playing harmonica and ukulele but it's a cheap home bargains ukulele and playing hurts my ears 🤣
