@ellie2000 Trauma is a very complex thing to go through, and it affects each person differently, so it's important to point out that the way you deal with trauma is unique to you, and is completely valid. If you feel this way it's okay and you're not alone in this. Is something about the world in particular making you feel anxious or worried at the moment, Ellie?

@ellie2000 That seems really difficult. These feelings of stepping out of yourself, are they similar to feeling like you're outside of your own body?

@ellie2000 That seems really disorientating and confusing for you. Do these feelings happen quite regularly?

@ellie2000 These feelings can be really confusing, upsetting and worrying but please know you're not alone in this. I've found that when you notice these feelings, grounding techniques can be really helpful i.e. naming 5 things you can see, smell, taste, feel and hear. Do you enjoy listening to music? I've also found that listening to your favourite songs and really focusing on the lyrics can help you stay present in the moment and help you stay grounded when these feelings are overwhelming. Also, smelling something you really love i.e. a specific candle, fragrance, perfume etc. can help with these feelings (of course, preferably not anything chemical i.e. cleaning products, as this can have negative physical effects).
