Hi I'm Ellie! I've just finished my A-Levels (Law, Politics and Economics) so I'm really glad that's over and done with and in September I hope to study law at uni :) I really love to support and help be there for others because we all need that, and it's great to be part of a place where we can all check in on each other.

My favourite hobby is probably just watching TV or films, so any recommendations are always welcome! I've been really getting into being outside recently though when it's a nice day, especially since I have a lot more time on my hands now.

Really looking forward to getting to know all of you!

Hi Ellie. Welcome to the Mix. Congrats on finishing off A Levels, I bet that feels like a breath of fresh air! I have quite a few friends studying law at university, do you know where you would want to take that degree or is it just an interest of yours at the moment?

Thanks @Past User :) And honestly yes, so nice not to have to worry about any school stuff for a few months! I really want to become a solicitor and work at a law centre or somewhere I can help individual people (I'm not so into working with big businesses) but I've still not decided on the area of law. What do you do/ study @Past User ?

I'm off until September! 4 months of .... nothing. Ahahaha. That's really cool, and it's amazing that you have an idea of what career you want. I study nutrition, diet, and wellbeing, I'm wanting to become a dietitian (creating meal plans) or possibly take the 'wellbeing' route and go off to do counseling or psychology!

@Past User that's so cool, both of those paths would be really rewarding. At one point I wanted to do counselling but my psychology A-Level teacher was so bad I had to drop it =) and I need to start creating balanced meal plans myself for uni but I'm such a bad cook I'll probably just end up cooking pasta every day!

Oh no, I'm so sorry to hear that @Past User - teachers really do make a huge difference on how enjoyable lessons are. For example, my science teachers were always terrible so I never took a great interest in the subject. I'd love to make meal plans for you! Ahaha

Welcome Ellie. Love a good tv and film
“And when they look at you, they won't see everything you've been through. They won't see the **** that turned to scars that began to fade with time. They won't see the heartbreaking things that shook up and changed your entire world. They won't know how many tears you cried or even what it was you were crying about. They won't see how strong you had to be because you had no other choice. What they will see though is how compassionate you are because you experienced pain. What they will see is how kind you are because you experienced how cruel the world is. What they will see is how good you are because you've seen how bad things or people can be. The difference between you and your experiences are who you choose to be, despite everything that could have turned you cold and unkind. You are the good the world needs and the best of us.” ~ Kirsten Corley
