    We have a new agreement with the european union that was made just in tim, we don't have a lot of the responsibilities we had previously, but a lot of the benefits are also taken away. We can now however strike our own trade deals and decide more policy. Technically brexit happened already in but we were waiting fro transition period to end which ends in 31st dec 2020

    Hey @ellie2000 that is a really good and relevant question that I am sure many other young people will be wondering themselves! I think @tkdog has done a really nice job explaining it, so I won't add too much on to it. I will share this link though which breaks down some words that are used quite a lot when talking about Brexit - some of the words confused me as well before finding this!
