We have endless appreciation for the way the mods look after this community and we know you do too. Not only do they give their time to us regularly; they do it all for free, and with incredible care.

This Christmas, we want to make sure they know just how appreciated they are. We'd love to collect some nice messages from you guys for our mods to keep them going over the holiday period. :)

Your message can be to boards mods or chat mods (or both!) and it can be for the whole team or for someone specific. Long or short, it doesn't matter; the important thing is they feel the love.

So drop your messages below, and we'll make sure they see them! :star:

    Ooh this sounds like a great idea! I'll write some stuff soon :)

    I could maybe even make a little kudos board of the messages so it's accessible for all mods to see!

    We were just going to link this thread and maybe copy the comments into our mod communications, but you're welcome to create a kudo board if you like. :3 Sounds like a wonderful idea.

    Stephanie: I know that things have sometimes really not been easy but you are super resilient and you have been working super hard not just on The Mix but also with your job. Well done. Have an amazing Christmas and thank you for always being there for everyone. From Kasa. <3

    I know I'm also a mod but I think I can still drop a little love here anyway. :p I've been a mod here on the boards for quite some time now and I've seen a lot of other mods join the boards and do their best to help out. It always deeply warms my heart to see how much all the mods, from those working for The Mix to volunteer mods like me, put their time and effort into the boards and the community.

    I've also seen a lot of times how much the support we offer as mods helps those struggling on the boards and it really is a treat to read through other mods' posts and see how much they're doing for everyone. You're all doing lovely work! :mrgreen:

    Sand AKA. the group chat mammy :lol: Thank you for making GC such a happy and safe space. You were the moderator of my first ever chat and you made me feel super welcome. There weren't many (or any) other users in the chat at the time so I probably wouldn't have come back if it wasn't for how awesome you were to me. I have  learnt so much from you, whenever you teach me the meaning of a big word I always write it down and if ever I'm stuck at spelling or wording something at school I always think to myself "what would Sand say?" or "How would Sand do it?" It helps! :lol: You've always got our backs and you always have answers to all of our questions, no matter what they are.  Although we tease you, we wouldn't change ya for the world.. honest! :tongue:<3

    I think that you're the funniest person ever. Your dad jokes are mint and whenever you're modding GC it's always a good laugh. We love it when you share pictures of cute animals, esp your wee puppers! I hope that I'm as cool as you as I grow up ;):lol: Thanks for making GC such a happy and safe space. You're a top guy. It wouldn't be the same without ya.

    You're pretty much the most supportive person ever. You are so kind and work so hard to welcome folk into SC and circle. I remember our conversation on how to be supportive and you teaching me your compassion skills :lol: I'm really grateful for that, it's been so useful. You are a fab person with a big ol' heart of gold. Tis always a good chat when you're modding :smiley: Thanks for making chat such a safe and happy place.

     You're a great moderator and despite going through turbulent times yourself, you're always there for us. I remember that one GC where you were talking about shopping at lush and getting that sleepy face cream and it being out of date :lol: I laughed so hard in that chat lol. You're fun and you send the best song lyrics. Cheers for being a fab mod!

    You always let me pick CR and for that, you're a top guy :lol: You're always there to hear people out and to help them with their issues. We're super grateful to have ya around

    MOO! You got me to watch the Ghibli movies and now i'm addicted :lol: I didn't even know that totoro was in Toy Story 4! Idk how you do it but you have these mad superpowers where you're able to listen to and support everyone in sc so that no one feels left out.  You are so kind and funny, we appreciate you so much <3

    Still can't believe you've never tried calippo shots? :lol: SC is always so fun and runs smoothly when you're modding. You are kind and supportive and do your best to make sure that everyone is heard. You make me laugh a lot, I'm grateful that you're here and offering your time to help make chats safe.

    Being vegan is a piece of cake thanks to you guiding me with your vegan powers to the home of the best chocolate Buenos ever. :lol: I think that you're an amazing moderator, you're so supportive to people no matter what their issues are and you always work hard to make sure that everyone is heard, it doesn't go unnoticed. If ever I want a movie to watch ill come straight to you.. you know them all :lol: You make me laugh and like the other SC mods, you are super supportive to everyone no matter their issue.     You're like the perfect moderators. When you support people and reply to their threads, you are both always SO thorough and you give the best advice. I've read many of your replies and learned a thing or two from your words. Sometimes I read a reply you've given to someone and think that your advice is so good that I pass it onto people in my life who I think would benefit :smiley: I love that you're open about your own life experiences too and share those with people who can relate with you. I think that really helps people feel less alone with what they're going through. <3

    Mike&Ed

    You're top fellas. You're always down to listen to us and to sort out any issues, no matter what they are. I can't thank you enough for being super patient with me even when I've been a wee bit difficult :lol: You have been so great to me and the other care experienced folk by hearing us and creating the care zone section on the boards. Mike, you're a great mod in u16's too, it's one of my fav chats. Ed, you're a master at connect 4, I think we all wish that we had your mad connect 4 skills :lol: . Thanks for helping keep The Mix a safe space and for helping us with whatever is on our minds.

    Sand: You are the group chat mama and that is why your nickname is Mama Sand. ;) You have always been there for me and many other users if they are struggling, need a hug, need distractions or just to see a cute cat photo. You also were in Under 16's chat a few times along with Mike and you did amazingly. Thank you for always being there for us. We sometimes joke around about pantaloons or Tinder. Always remember tell mama Sand. :p Here is an early Christmas present for you. ;) (I do not actually have Tinder. It is just a meme that I made as a joke.)

    Aidan: Keep on being the crazy potato that you are and keep on smiling. Your dad jokes always make me smile. You are also very supportive and kind. Really proud of all of your hard work and dedication even when things do get difficult. :) Be you. Also don't forget the cheese! 

    Emily: You are always there for us when things get difficult and you make my frown go upside down even when I am having the hardest of days and I feel like giving up. Many users appreciate you and I cannot believe that you haven't tried calippo shots! Merry Christmas. 

    Moo: Seeing your name in chat whether that is support chat or general chat makes me smile. I still try not to laugh when I see the name "Moo" because of your nickname (not in a rude way!) Thank you for being so dedicated and for just being you. It is hard to not smile at least once as you are always just so supportive and try to crack jokes but also be kind. <3 

    Ryan: You and Sand are like a bunch of kids when you mod general chat together but it always makes me smile. I will always remember the message you sent for Sand's Kudoboard. "Sand come back! I can't cope with this lot alone." Keep on cracking up amazing jokes and being positive.

    Italia: All of your hard work and dedication on the discussion boards and on The Mix in general is amazing. I have learnt so much since using The Mix thanks to you. :) You are also very supportive. Keep being the resident Kiwi of The Mix. ;) 

    Ammarah: Sorry if I spelt your name wrong for the 8,000,000,000th time. You are still fairly new to The Mix but it is like you have been here forever. Thank you for your dedication, support and amazing opening round questions. 

    Mags: Thank you for reviving the Male vs Female game whenever it goes really quiet for a few days. ;) You are a great person to have on the discussion boards.

    Poppy: I can still remember your lovely reply to the poem that I did when I was coming out about my sexuality. It is great to have someone who understands. Thank you for being there for everyone.

    I will do some more messages for other mods later on but I didn't want to spam the discussion with loads of spoilers or one really long post. ;)

    I’m sorry I’m not very good with names and I don’t want to risk missing anyone out, so I’ll just say thank you to all the mods. What you do is amazing.  :)

    Right from the beginning you’ve all been so friendly and welcoming. You always wish me a happy day in chats  and it always means the world to me. I’ve always felt out of place but you have an amazing way of making me feel welcomed. 

    You always offer such amazing advice and just make us feel heard. The way you’re so patient and take the time to listen is wonderful and I’ll never understand how you do it.

    Youre advice on the boards is always so helpful and reading through your posts always makes me smile. When I feel silly for being here you always take the time to reassure me that it’s ok. I’m constantly blown away by  your patience and kindness.

     And In chats no matter how busy it gets you make sure no one feels cast aside.

    You’re some of the most caring wonderful individuals I’ve ever met and even though I haven’t been here that long you’ve helped me so much. There’s a lot of things the mods have said to me I always repeat to myself when the world turns grey. 

    You remind me I’m not alone and you make feel like I could conquer the world. And sometimes you reminded me that just being here is enough and it’s ok to cry. You taught me It was ok to struggle but that I don’t have to go through my battles alone.

    And when I felt ashamed of being myself you helped up my confidence. When I apologise a hundred times you tell me me I have nothing to be sorry for. You showed me how something as simple as wishing someone a happy day could do a world of good. 

    Sorry for the cheesy ramble.



    You’re all wonderful people who help so many of us. Thank you for brightening up all our lives. I hope you all have a very merry Christmas  <3

    PS, that message means a great deal @Liam - it's so kind of you to say. We work for you guys and that means keeping an ear open for whatever comes up. :3 You've fast become one of the biggest contributors in this community and it feels like you've been here forever!

    The staff team as a whole do absolutely fabulous work and we're all grateful with how much you probably have on your plate! 

    Special thanks to Mike and Ed like Liam said for always going the extra mile and listening to everyones thoughts and worries as well as being so kind, professional and gentle with everyone :)

    Emma and Connor are amazing editions to the team and I think really settled into their role nicely from the get go you have been amazing! 
    Connor is hilarious as well as professional lol you could always have a laugh with him I bet!
    Emma is so lovely in SC and amazing in her youth participation role :)

    The boards mods do fab keeping the community a safe place for all!

    There's so many chat mods I could be here forever writing so I'll sum it up for all of you.
    You're all simply the best! And its a pleasure to be in every single one of your chats, the work everyone puts in is amazing and you're all wonderful people 💕
