I just feel sad.
Lonely.
Hated.
Who cares?
No one.

@LorryTruck You've done an incredibly brave thing to seek support, it's very courageous! Do you what exactly is making you feel down (it's perfectly fine if you don't)?

Everyone here cares about one another, we care about you :)

    @Eleanor
    im always down
Thanks, you're nice to me. :)
I have 4 days of isolation left.
    I listen heavy depressing metal?
    Maybe that's why.
    But it doesn't matter.

@LorryTruck It's hard when you get stuck in a cycle of feeling down, especially when you have to face it whilst in isolation. Are you isolating with anyone you enjoy spending time with? Even though you are limited in what you can do, it's important to socialise with the people you have around you :)

Often we listen to music that reflects our mood, which is understandable! Why would someone want to listen to happy music when they are feeling a little rubbish?

It matters to me how you feel, and it should matter to you also! You matter so much!

What are you most looking forward to doing when you come out of isolation?

    I'm isolating by myself.
none of my family has it, someone in my bubble did.
I listen to Happy Song by BMTH  =)
DON'T EVER BLAST THAT SONG OUT.
it swears so yeah, there's a time and place to listen to certain songs.
Nothing matters, not in the end.
I'm looking forward to seeing my friends.

Ahh so someone in you bubble tested positive.

I don't think I have ever listened to that song, perhaps I'll check it out!

That's an interesting perspective to take, that nothing matters in the end. This is just my own thoughts on it but to me, EVERYTHING matters in the end. Once we have passed, we have nothing personally left, only what we leave behind and the experiences we had. So, it is vital to me that I live my best life and care greatly about all matters because one day, it will all be gone so I have to care now - if not now then when?

I'm glad you're looking forward to seeing your friends, are you able to connect with them now through messages or Facetime etc?

Hey @LorryTruck, as Eleanor said you’ve done a great thing posting your thoughts here it’s a really brave thing to do. I think sometimes it can be a bit scary admitting how you’re really feeling.

Have you spoke to any of your friends about how you’ve been feeling recently? It’s great that you’re looking forward to seeing them when you’re out of isolation.

I think the thing with music is it reflects how we’re feeling and I know I sometimes relate the lyrics of songs to my own life. Music however can be very good at making us feel better - for me it helps me to feel more relaxed. How does the music make you feel.

so if im happy, it makes me happier
if im sad, unfortunately it makes me sadder.

@LorryTruck Ah I see, that must make it more difficult to communicate with your friends. Try and hold on to the excitement that you can see them again in 4 days!

You're welcome to PM me, just remember that on the boards you'll be able to get more support from the whole community.

@LorryTruck ahh that makes a lot of sense. A lot of people find they can relate to music and it sometimes brings out those feelings.

What have you enjoyed doing during your isolation?

Aww that sounds great @LorryTruck, music is something I really enjoy too I listen to it a lot.

When you say you feel like nothing matters, is there anything (no matter how small) that you feel does matter? That could be something like a pet, something else special to you, etc?

Hey @LorryTruck I know we haven't spoken before but wanted to say hi :)

Sounds like you are very musical. So cool you play piano and guitar! I started learning guitar earlier this year and it's so fun. Proper difficult tho, and I don't feel I'm very good yet but it's still a lot of fun all the same.

There's always going to be two different states of mental health in any relationship - family, friends, or partners. The tricky thing is making sure both people involved know about the other person's mental health, because surely at the end of the day we all just want what's best for our partner <3 Do you think your boyfriend would want to know about how you're feeling?

    @JamJar
Sorry for the late reply... been busy at school.
Great that you play guitar! It will become even more fun when you get even better.
I dont know if he would want to know what I'm feeling. I talked to him about how I was suicidal last year and all he sad was that he knew, then i asked if i told him, then he said that no, he just knew. So I don't know how he would react if I told him how I felt now. :)
